process & logistics

  1. The chapter advisor polls members to identify a total number of Iftar meals to request, and submits the registration form on this page by February 19. The entire chapter does not need to participate. Note that we do not need you to identify the specific attendees observing the month of Ramadan by name.

  2. Based upon the number provided by the chapter advisor in advance, designated seats will be reserved at the chapter’s assigned table(s).

  3. Typically, water, salads, rolls, and dessert are pre-set at every place setting before the session. For those observing the month of Ramadan, the place setting will be replaced by a card indicating the seat is reserved. The reservation card will serve as the ticket to exchange for a later meal.

  4. At the close of the Dinner Session, banquet staff will be stationed in a designated area outside the ballroom with fresh meals prepared to-go. Attendees will exchange the reservation card at their seat for a meal at this station.

  5. After picking up their meal, attendees are welcome to enjoy it in a location of their choice. For your convenience, the Ambassador East Ballroom will be available for dining on a first-come, first-served basis, as will the tables in the Center Concourse of the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel.

dinner session attendance

Members and advisors observing the month of Ramadan are, of course, invited to attend the entire Dinner Session. However, we recognize that they may not wish to sit through the dinner service. Therefore, those observing the month of Ramadan may choose to arrive at 7:15 pm, when the meal service will be concluding, at the chapter advisor’s discretion. The program will resume shortly after that time.
